Surdaan Foundation, originally known as Surdaan - Music for Miracles or Surdaan, is a newly established 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization by The Alaap School Of Music, continuing to showcase their passion for singing Hindustani Classical and Bollywood tunes, raising money for local and international nonprofits. Every year, students host a production in which tickets are sold to members of their community to raise money for various causes. Over the years, Surdaan has dedicated its funds to Happy India Village, Infant India, Baba Amte VSS, Hunger Mitao Campaign, Aai Foundation, Journey To Dream, Promise House Dallas, City House Plano, The North Texas Food Bank, and even The Dallas Police Department. Last year itself, Surdaan raised close to $20,000 in funds, which were all directed toward orphanages in India who suffered through the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Mrs. Manjusha Hardiker in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Hardiker is a disciple of Late Pandit Chandrakant Apte from Gwalior gharana and Pandit Pritam Bhattacharjee from Mewati gharana. For last 20 years Mrs. Hardiker is training students in Hindustani Classical music in Dallas Metroplex area and has performed in various community events.

Thanks all for your generous contribution to prior Surdaan events .It was an overwhelming support from all of you.
When pandemic hit the world, kids realized underprivileged kids got affected the most and they should continue the event using an online platform. This was a blessing in disguise as this was the opportunity to take this event globally to their family in India and other countries. First online event happened in Aug 9,2020. It was a great success. Families across the globe enjoyed the program and donated for the cause. 50% of the donations were given to North Texas Food Bank and other 50% was given to an orphanage in India called Aai Foundation. In August 2021, funds collected from India were donated to a shelter for HIV positive
In conversation with an amazing team Surdaan Arnav, Priyanka, Advaita, Mili, Aanya, Shrest. Each year high school students of Alaap School of Music come together for Surdaan - summer musical concert. The students showcase their singing talents while using their voices to help others in need. Funds raised from ticket sales and donations will benefit three charities within India: Infant India, Baba Amte VSS, and Happy India Village. Infant India provides aid to HIV/AIDS affected orphans and abandoned women Baba Amte VSS provides education to underprivileged children in rural Maharashtra.
